Internet World is massive ofcourse. It is a boon also its a curse. You know why it is a boon so no need to explain anything. Now you must be wondering how curse? Right, The big World Of Hackers, which make this wonderful thing, a curse also Scams, Malware, Viruses which destroy your computer, hack away your identity, passwords etc.
Hacking:
Its not new anyone can be a hacker, You don't know may be your friend is a hacker. Hacking is easy sometimes and sometimes difficult if your pc is very secured. But you don't need any great programming skills to hack someones account. There are ready made softwares you can buy and then just hack someones account but professional hackers have programing knowledge, experience and skills.
I just wanna say that how to be safe on internet, which is quiet difficult to do. But you need to keep some tips in mind.
Never Click on the Links: You should never click on the links you see in the forums, communities etc. they all are mostly fake. Clicking on that links redirect you to a fake website and then prompt you to give your login id and password and then BOOM! you know you are hacked. So Beware!
Type Addresses but don't click on direct links and never give you password to someone or any website which is unknown to you.
Scam:
Its all over the world and no one can stop it either. These people send you an email may be like "You have won a lottery" or may be they say that "Invest Your Money" etc. never ever reply to these emails. There is a identity theft and also you can loose your money. These people are very dangerous. many people went to those countries to claim their lottery and then they were kidnapped or bitten or murdered too. Thats True! If you still want to play with those people than reply them like i don't understand what are you saying about! and they will get frustrated and soon send a virus or malware to you as an email attachment, then run the attachment and them your computer is hacked!
My tips:
1) Don't give any personal info to anyone on net, even not the name! unless you trust him or her well.
2) Use your surname if you wanna give your name to someone.
3) Don't Make an Email Id like "John_Smith@xyz.com" Instead make email like "coolJS@xyz.com" or "iamcrazyncool" same with the password so that its not easy to guess and you don't have an Identity Theft.
4) Never reply to those emails or never visit any website that you seem to be in doubt. Or use Google or your antivirus to prevent sites which you don't trust.
5) Never open email attachments from unknown person, and if your friend or someone you know sends an attachment, first scan it using any antivirus and then open it if it doesn't contain any virus. trojan, malware, keyloggers or any kind of a threat.
6) Never trust anyone on the Internet.
Being Innocent ( Newbies) :
Mostly Professionals are not trapped, Newbies are innocent and they don't know much things about internet and programming so they are trapped and then they loose their email ids and the biggest thing is Identity Theft also they loose many things like credit card no., bank account no. etc.
So read some articles, research about internet, Just don't only visit sites like facebook, myspace, orkut! also learn something because it will only benefit you!

Jainam
